Are you a Year 10–12 student curious about what studying medicine is really like? Join the University of Queensland Medical Society (UQMS) for an immersive, hands-on day designed to give you a genuine insight into the medical field. Explore what the journey through medical school and a career in Medicine actually involves!

Throughout the day, you’ll hear from current students across Biomedical Science, Health Science, and MD Years 1–4, as well as medical practitioners. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of topics including:

Clinical skills such as history-taking and examinations
Vital signs and basic patient assessments
Investigations in medicine
Surgical skills' workshops
Critical care skills' workshops, including CPR
Insights into rural medical opportunities

There will also be opportunities to ask questions, connect with like-minded students, and learn directly from those in the field.
